Mid month: Lwn very wet past month, over 310mm (cf Dec 2025 340mm).
First half of November very mild, wet or very wet and dull
Rainfall 1st - 15th Mona 118mm, CC 279mm, Cwm Dyli (NRW) 404mm, Trawsgoed 102mm, Aberporth 98mm, Llanwnnen 147mm, MH 141mm, PS 127mm; Nott 103mm, Shawbury 71mm, Coleshill 91mm, Coventry 117mm, CL 79mm, Pershore 87mm, Hereford 104mm.
Sun 1st - 15th: Llanwnnen 24 hrs, Cov 18 hrs.
Wed 19th much colder northerlies wintry showers in places, snow reports parts of Cov & Warks this morning, also a streamer over Pembrokeshire...the 'Dangler'. Maxima just 2 or 3c over higher ground such as Stiperstones and just 4c parts of lowland Mids.
Thu 20th Dangler persisted all night and much of today too by midday it had already given around 2 inches (radar) from Fishguard/ Cardigan south to Saundersfoot/ Whitland. It also edged east as far as Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen overnight giving snow to these. Deepest snowfalls reported 7 or 8 inches between Crymych and Whitland which is unusual for November. However photos of 25cm. Snow even for coastal areas and on the beach at Tenby. Thundersnow reports Pembs too overnight. Maxima Scolton CP 1.4c (snow cover), CL 3.5c, CITE 4.8c, Lwn 5.9c, Pershore 6.5c, Valley 6.7c. MH 4c.
Fri 21st Lwn min -7.7c the coldest Nov night since 2010 (-13.7c 25th) also the lowest reading so early Season; other min Trawsgoed -6.6c, Pershore -5.8c, Cov -1.5c, Aberdaron 2.3c. Max just 4.3c Lwn but 7.5c at Trawsgoed and 9.3c MH (Mids 5 - 7c).
Sat 22nd Scolton Country Park (near Haverfordwest) 45.4mm wettest MO in UK today, also Maenclochog nearby 52.6mm, just 14m here at Lwn. Most of the rain fell am.
Nature notes
Early month: Grass growing well with the very mild start. Flowering Strawberries, Ladybird (dark with orange markings on the Camelia. Plenty of Redwings flying over now after dusk...lots of Fox & Cubs in flower verge past Grannell lane. Celandine foliage Neuadd lane. Cuckoo Pint has come back as it did last Autumn after dying off late Summer. New Rose front. Generally life inappropriately springing with fresh growth, baby weeds and plants, some buds opening, this all often happens during a very mild November spell such as this.
Fri 7th bat low flying over us back garden bigger than a pipistrelle.
Sat 8th Eco had a Red Admiral settle on her arm a she waited at the bus stop.
Sun 9th 'Spring in November' or a 'second a Spring': Grannell lane profuse fresh growth past week or so when rather it should be dying off from Summer (nights are averaging above 8c and higher than the October mean). A few grasses in flower again also some Nettles, generally a carpet of fresh undergrowth such as it would be in April inc much Cow Parsley foliage. Wild Rose shoots have sprung up with fresh leaves, various flowerings still lots of Fox & Cubs inc new ones, Hazel and some other hedgerows buds starting to open. Knapweed about to bloom on the bank opposite hotel. Song Thrush in decent though not full song dusk.
Mon 10th S Thrush at end of garden in good voice today. Neuadd lane notables plenty of Red Campion and Cranesbill in flowers, Cleavers are up (don't recall seeing them in November before?) 2 S Thrush singing dusk (inc ours).
Sat 15th M Thrush singing.
Mid month fresh growth and flowerings, much evident in Long Lawford inc Daisies. On the journey back remarkably near Leamington of dozens of Dandelion clocks with others in flower!
Fri 21st severe frost zapped quite a bit in the garden here while in Aberystwyth not hard enough (-3c) and still flowers on the go. Did not seem as many Starlings at the pier dusk est 5 -10000.
Late month first tiny Bluebell spikes making an appearance under Apple tree. Don't recall this happening g in November before although they were well up late December 2015. Fresh Honeysuckle leaves Neuadd lane. Still plenty of fresh growth remaining intact month end. Sheep over the road still enjoying freshly grown grass.
Summary November 2025
Wet or very wet for most; mild; rather dull/ dull.
Over twice the average rainfall in places, much of the Gower around average though. Here at Lwn it was the wettest of any month since Dec 2020 (283.7mm) and wettest November since 2009 (309.4mm). For Wales overall also the wettest Nov since 2009.

Here at Llanwnnen the wettest Autumn on record (beating 559.5mm in 2023).
Derek said that Wales averaged 594mm this being the tenth wettest Autumn srb 1836.
All areas wetter than average.
All areas below average sunshine, locally very dull NW Wales.
Coventry had its dullest Autumn since 2001 (253 hrs).
