Anticyclonic: very dry; temperatures and sunshine a little above average

Total rainfall 62.6mm = driest January srb 2006 here (previous 64.3mm 2006). This being 44% of the historical Lampeter average and 42% of the 2006-22 mean here.

Total estimated sunshine 52 hours (118%) = sunniest since since 2018 (also est 52 hours).

Mean pressure: 1026mbar = highest for a month since Dec 2016 (1026mbar).

1^st exceptionally mild New Year's Day, both minimum (11.5c) and maximum (13.9c) being January records here (previous records 11.3c Jan 2008 and 13.0c in 2016). Of note was that the maximum occurred during the early hours. It was a mostly cloudy and windy day with light rain and drizzle.

2^nd - 10^th unsettled; mostly cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain; distant thunder heard midday 3^rd, sleet observed 6^th & 7^th, 17.9mm rain 7^th wettest day of the month; temperatures rather variable between mild and rather cold (max range 4 – 10c). Rather windy at times.

11^th - 14^th became dry with sunny periods. Sharp frost, mist and fog overnights (lingered well into the morning 13^th). Maxima mostly near average. Pressure reached 1043mbar 12^th highest of the month. A notably calm spell, nothing above 10mph 11^th - 15^th.

15^th - 16^th Cloudy with some slight frost and fog and occasional drizzle. Maxima near average.

17^th - 20^th mostly dry and sunny at times; unbroken 8 hours of bright sun 17^th the most possible in January; there were spells of rain on the morning of 19^th which was also a rather windy day; frosts overnight with temperatures by day continuing around normal January levels.

21^st – 25^th hard frost overnight 20^th/ 21^st, min -5.8c lowest reading of the month; dry, cloudy and often rather cold, max 3.6c 24^th lowest of the month.

26^th – became mild to average with some sunny spells, also some rain or drizzle at times; windy at times.

Very mild, very wet and rather dull

Mean temp 6.7c (+1.8c) mildest Feb since only 2019 (also 6.7c); just 4 air frosts all slight, second least (3 in Feb 2020). No snow fell at all as with December and January

Total rainfall: 194.0mm very wet but not as wet as either 2021 (210.8mm) or 2020 (269.5mm); this being 190% of the historical 1916-50 average and 156% of the 2006-22 mean here. The past 5 years have averaged 166.5mm for the month compared with 124mm for 2006-22 here and 102mm for the historical local average.

Total estimated sunshine: 52 hours (81% based on MO maps and 79% of 2014- 22 mean estimations here).

1^st -2^nd mostly dry and mild, sunny spells 1^st.

3^rd - 8^th unsettled and mostly mild; showers or longer spells of rain, windy at times: min 9.2c 8^th highest of the month. A couple of slight frosts.

9^th - 11^th rain early 9^th otherwise a mostly dry, bright interlude; cloudy 9^th then sunny spells; temperatures around average with some overnight frost, min -2.7c 11^th this ending up the lowest reading of the month.

Nights close to average (mean min 1.5c) with March having more frost than any of the Winter months (14 air frosts). Interstingly March is the most frosty month of the year here (2006-22 record) with an average 10.8 days air frost with January next on 10.5 days

Total rainfall: 58.9mm this being 71% of the historical mean from nearby Lampeter and 60% of the 2002 – 2022 average at this location. Driest March since 2012 (23.5mm) all but 2mm of months total fell in the first 12 days.

1^st - 4^th mostly cloudy with occasional rain or drizzle; temperatures average to rather cold.

5^th - 7^th dry with sunny periods and overnight frosts; near average temperatures by day.

8^th - 13^th spells of rain or showers, some heavy and windy at times; 20.2mm 11^th wettest day of the month; sunny intervals with average to rather mild temperatures.

Total rainfall 55.0mm this being 72% of the 1916-50 average from nearby Lampeter and 93% of the 2006 – 22 average here; April is clearly the driest month of the year on average here (59.2mm) next driest being June 85.5mm, while in the historical Lampeter record June is driest on 68mm with April and May next both averaging 77mm.

Mean temperature 8.6c (-0.1c wrt 2006-2022) with mean max a little above average and nights rather cold.

Total estimated sun 129 hours was fairly dull (average about 150 hours).

1^st - 3^rd rather cool, sunny spells and a few showers and sharp frosts, min -6.8c 3^rd coldest reading of the month and the second coldest April night here (-8.5c 06/04/13).

Total rainfall 100.1mm this being 147% of the historical Lampeter average but only 116% of the 2006-22 mean here (averages of 68mm and 86.4mm respectively); 70mm falling in 6 days towards month end.

Total est sunshine 166 hours near average...sunniest June since 2018 (260 hours) although June 2021 was similar with an estimated 160 hours.

1^st - 4^th dry; 1^st cool with sunny periods then rather warm sunny intervals; heavy shower late 4^th .

5^th - 9^th mostly cloudy and breezy with occasional rain or showers, cool to average temperatures.

10^th - 13^th mostly dry with sunny spells, a few showers at first; near average temperatures, quite windy at first.

14^th - 17^th dry with sunny periods, warm/ very warm by day, but cold nights with a touch of air frost 14^th (min -0.3c) and the first in June since 2015.

18^th - 19^th warm night 18^th (min 13.3c this the mildest night of the month) followed by a very cool and cloudy day with rain at times, max just 13.8c the coolest day of the month; rather cloudy and rather cool 19^th but with a sunny evening.

20^th - 23^rd sunny and became very warm; max 27.1c 23^rd highest reading of the month although it clouded over afternoon with some nearby thunder and a torrential downpour (13.8mm most in half hour).

More sun first fortnight than any whole August for the run of dull months 2015 -2021 and with 92 hours sun week 8^th - 13^th - this being more than in the whole of the dullest August 2020 (est 85 hours).

1^st - 3^rd occasional light rain or drizzle along with some sunny intervals (cloudy 2^nd); average to warm temperatures,
